This is a Part Time position offering an immediate start date.

Responsibilities:
- Plan menus to meet residents’ dietary needs and requests, working with the Home Manager.
- Maintain stock within budget, minimising waste.
- Keep kitchen clean and compliant with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Report hazards or risks to residents, staff, or visitors.
- Set, clear, and clean the dining room; deliver meals to rooms when required.
- Contribute ideas at staff meetings and carry out domestic duties when needed.
- Interact professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and visitors.
- Take on additional tasks as requested by senior management.
- Attend training to improve skills and knowledge.
- Follow company policies and procedures, uphold values, and protect data.
- Support equality, diversity, and inclusion in all work.
Essential Criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Catering & Hospitality, equivalent qualification, or 2 years’ kitchen experience.
- Willingness to gain Level 2 Food & Hygiene qualification.
- Knowledge of older people’s diets and menu planning (desirable).
- Willingness to adapt home-style cooking for a care setting (desirable).
- Good verbal communication in English.
- Commitment to social housing and understanding of vulnerable people’s needs.
- Able to work independently and handle routine tasks.
- Ability to stay calm in emergencies.
Desirable Criteria:
- Awareness of health and safety legislation.
