Conveyancing Assistant / Secretary, Lurgan
Overview
A well established and respected Lurgan law firm is seeking a Conveyancing LegalAssistant/ Secretary to join its residential property team. The firm is known for delivering high quality, client focused legal services in a supportive, collaborative, and flexible environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with proven experience in conveyancing administration who enjoys coordinating property transactions, liaising with clients and third parties, and supporting fee-earners in a forward thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Order and monitor standard conveyancing searches (e.g., Land Registry, local authority)
- Open, update, and close case files; manage archiving and retrieval processes.
- Draft, prepare, and audio-type legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, correspondence, and completion statements
- Send title documents and Land Registry submissions; respond to requisitions and title queries.
- Assist with post-exchange tasks including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and completion arrangements.
- Serve as key point of contact by liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Provide general secretarial and administrative support: phone and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, correspondence, and file maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records in case management systems and ensure compliance with internal and professional standards.
Working Hours & Location
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (flexible working arrangements available)
- Location: Lurgan office (fully office-based, with potential partial flexibility as appropriate)
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in conveyancing support or legal secretarial workpreferably within a property/case management setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), digital dictation, and case management systems.
