Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about machinery, sales, and building customer relationships? Terex is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Sales Trainee Program. This program serves as a fast-track route into the technical sales sector within the Materials Processing industry. We have five roles available across our esteemed brands: Powerscreen, Finlay, Ecotec, EvoQuip, and MDS.

The program is designed to develop highly motivated individuals into effective Territory Managers (TMs) within six months, laying the foundation for a long-term career in sales management—either within Terex or across our global network of approved dealers.

We strongly encourage internal candidates from all functions—manufacturing, engineering, service, aftermarket, and operations—who are ready to step into a commercial career path.

What you will do:

  • Support sales teams in identifying opportunities and engaging with customers
  • Assist with customer site visits, machine demos, and trade events
  • Learn product features and applications across our Materials Processing range (e.g., Powerscreen, Finlay, Ecotec, EvoQuip, MDS)
  • Participate in proposal preparation, pricing, and deal support
  • Collaborate with technical and aftermarket departments to resolve customer needs
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and produce basic reporting
  • Attend focused training modules in product knowledge, sales skills, and market understanding

Essential:

  • A strong interest in machinery and sales, and a desire to grow a long-term commercial career
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Proactive attitude with a hands-on mindset and eagerness to learn

Highly Desirable:

  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate as part of your career progression—mobility is a key asset in this role
  • Previous experience working with Terex products—whether in manufacturing, aftersales, installation, technical support, or hands-on machine assembly—is a distinct advantage
  • Experience in heavy equipment, construction, plant machinery, or customer-facing roles
  • A full UK driving license
