We are looking for a dynamic & driven Commercial Manager to take our business forward.
- Lead a flagship national retailer account, developing and executing strategic growth plans with the support of a high-performing customer team.
- Build and nurture senior-level relationships with buyers and key stakeholders, becoming the go-to ambassador for both your client and our business.
- Drive profitable sales and deliver commercial success, managing P&L, achieving revenue and margin targets, and identifying new opportunities for growth and diversification.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts, ensuring the business offer meets evolving customer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate cross functionally with supply chain, operations, and marketing to deliver seamless service and innovative solutions through NPD.
- Champion operational excellence, implementing processes and systems that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure best-in-class service delivery.
- Analyse market data & trends to inform pricing, product positioning, and promotional strategies, keeping the business ahead in a fast-moving sector.
- Travel 2-3 times per month to your customer’s site, building strong operational partnerships.
Essential:
- Fresh protein sector experience, knowing the category, the challenges, and the opportunities.
- Track record of exceeding targets in a high-pressure commercial environment, ideally with national retail accounts.
- Exceptional relationship builder – outgoing, persuasive and enthusiastic.
- Strategic and analytical mindset – you use data to drive decisions and spot growth opportunities others miss.
- Skilled negotiator with strong financial acumen.
- Entrepreneurial energy – initiative, driven.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Suite.
Desirable:
- Experience negotiating and closing contracts with national retailers.
- Previous experience in fresh protein management.
