About the role

An exceptional opportunity awaits within our Private Clients division in Belfast. We are now seeking a dynamic Commercial Director to lead and grow our presence in Northern Ireland and London.

As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy and performance of our Belfast & London office. You will lead business development, client relationship management, and strategic partnerships, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Ideal candidates will have a strong, relevant professional network and the skills to leverage these connections to achieve goals, build partnerships, and drive success.

In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop and execute a commercial growth strategy aligned with Davy’s overall wealth management objectives.
  • Lead, mentor & grow a high-performing team of wealth managers and client advisors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients, intermediaries, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships in Northern Ireland.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Investment Strategy, Compliance, and Marketing to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

About you

  • A demonstrable track record of increasing revenue and commercial performance in a similar senior role, ideally within wealth management.
  • Strong leadership background with success managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Financially astute, with the ability to interpret and influence commercial P&L
  • Deep understanding of the Northern Ireland & UK financial landscape and client base.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Chartered Wealth Manager preferred but not essential.
