CNC Operator/ CNC Machinist

Job Overview:
LPE is a pioneering company at the forefront of 3D printing in Plastics and Metal, which we in house Post CNC machine. As a CNC Operator within our team, you will play a pivotal role in operating cutting-edge 3 and 5-Axis mill machines, Wire EDM, and a variety of inspection equipment. Your contributions will support our manufacturing endeavours, creating metal and plastic parts for the Automotive Sports, Medical Device, Aerospace, Space, and Défense Industries.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines with precision and care.
- Build up CNC tools to exact specifications for optimal performance.
- Conduct weekly calibration of tools and machinery to maintain peak efficiency.
- Load CNC programs and meticulously follow operating instructions, conducting in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Interpret task specifications by studying blueprints, mechanical drawings, and other relevant documentation.
- Supervise machine operations attentively, making necessary adjustments to enhance output quality.
- Inspect and measure finished products using specialized equipment, comparing them against stringent requirements to validate process completion.
- Employ hand tools to finish parts, meticulously sanding and smoothing edges to meet quality standards.
- Adhere to our quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001, and ISO13485) meticulously, filling in process sheets, NCRs, and job cards as required.
- Conduct daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure ongoing functionality.

Essential Criteria:
3+ years of experience in CNC Milling Machining, demonstrating proficiency and reliability.
Experience operating in a fast-paced workshop environment, managing tasks efficiently under pressure.
Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures, prioritizing the well-being of oneself and colleagues.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, displaying initiative and resourcefulness.
Willingness to work overtime when required, contributing to team efforts beyond regular hours.
Ideal Experience:
Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in CNC operations, showcasing dedication and mastery of the craft.
Previous experience with Hurco Mill CNC machines, facilitating seamless integration into our workflow.
Proven track record working on 1-off prototypes with high precision tolerances, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
