Park Recruit are working with a well-established, forward-thinking construction company, who are known for delivering high-quality projects through the UK & Ireland, in the appointment of a Civils Estimator.
This is a newly created position and requires a capable and commercially astute individual who can manage both pre-construction estimating and quantity surveying responsibilities. You will support the full project lifecyclefrom Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through to construction deliveryworking with sub-contractors from tender through to contract award. Youll be responsible for preparing detailed cost breakdowns, contract documentation, and contributing to value engineering with our in-house design team. A collaborative approach and a high standard of work are essential to ensuring robust, accurate, and commercially viable outcomes across all stages of project delivery.
Duties:

Manage pre-construction estimating and quantity surveying activities.

Issue tender enquiries and perform accurate take-offs.

Evaluate quotes and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.

Maintain procurement schedules and manage sub-contractor payments.

Prepare and review key commercial documents and attend PCM meetings.

Administer contracts (especially NEC), including early warnings and compensation events.

Submit valuations, produce cost reports, and forecast project finances.

Finalise sub-contractor accounts and manage project budgets.

Support ECI process, value engineering, and risk management.

Maintain strong technical and commercial knowledge.

Lead and support junior team members.

Delegate tasks and ensure accountability.

Set clear goals and KPIs.

Promote high standards and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a construction related discipline (preferable).
- 5 years + experience gained within an estimating capacity, preferably civils.
- Excellent communication skills.
