The Home Make a Real Difference at Bohill Bungalows Located just outside Coleraine in a peaceful rural setting, Bohill Bungalows is a specialist care facility dedicated to supporting individuals with complex needs. As a leading provider of highly specialised care, we support residents living with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, neuro-degenerative conditions, learning disabilities, and complex epilepsy. Opened in 2012, the facility comprises three purpose-built, six-bedroom bungalows one designed specifically for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and two tailored for those with learning disabilities. Each bungalow provides a homely and supportive environment, where residents receive personalised care and rehabilitation. At Bohill Bungalows, we work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each resident receives the highest standard of care within a home-like setting. The Role You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents. About The Role Main Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life. Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities. Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment. Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents’ well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour. Follow care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, ensuring their comfort and safety. Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
