Working as part of a small team you will help to produce and serve hot and cold food for employees, serve customers, and operate the till all whilst ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is always maintained. Main Activities/Tasks Preparation of breakfast and lunch service for Norbrook employees Serve food to customers and handle cash transactions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and canteen area Taking receipt of deliveries and checking for accuracy Stock inventory and replenishing supplies as needed Stock rotation and proper storage of all food and drinks Monitor fridge temperatures and take the necessary action following any abnormal readings Completing the HACCP file daily and following COSHH procedures Assist at private functions as and when required Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns Essential Criteria: Educated to NVQ level 2 in a relevant qualification At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role; e.g. a school, college or work canteen Good organisational skills Ability to work as part of a team Strong customer service skills Desirable Criteria: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferred but not essential The following skills and attributes will also be tested at application and interview stages: A strong can do attitude Willing to learn all elements of the daily canteen operation Strong communication skills Flexibility to the needs of role including occasional private functions Duration: Full time, permanent Location: Newry Additional Information: Applicants should be able to provide proof that they have a right to work in the UK at the time of their application.
