Responsibilities in your new role:
- Work with a continuous improvement mindset continually improving forecasting techniques for long lead items, optional parts and kanban supply whilst managing cost saving projects
- Manage a portfolio of key suppliers, developing & maintaining relationships whilst continually monitoring performance
- Negotiate best price and lead times with suppliers ensuring all materials are on site, on time to meet production demands
- Provide monthly supplier forecasts based on latest S&OP information
- Release of orders to the supplier network based on current demand
- Provide accurate and timely monthly reports
- Provide analysis and suggest actions on current stock holding
What you will need to succeed:
- A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP as well as all Microsoft Office packages
- Proven track record of success with implementing cost saving projects
