Artemis Human Capital are working with a leading manufacturing firm as they look to recruit a Buyer. You will collaborate closely with the Operations, Customers, and Supply Chain Team to drive cost reductions, improve supplier performance, and implement supply chain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of quality materials within budget using available systems and processes.
- Manage the flow of parts and services, proactively addressing any supply chain issues affecting manufacturing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Supplier Coordination & Performance
- Liaise daily with suppliers to monitor orders, delivery schedules, and resolve issues, keeping operations informed.
- Conduct supplier reviews, performance monitoring, and compliance checks, including site visits within the UK as required.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with suppliers.
- Supply Chain Optimization
- Introduce control mechanisms to streamline operations.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to improve internal processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cost & Invoice Management
- Regularly review pricing and MRP for cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure invoice matching is consistently up to date.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years hands on experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in the execution of buying, forecasting and replenishment.
- Must have a proven track record of hands-on experience & excellent working knowledge of MRP & ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience on driving and chairing process improvement. Must have a proven track records and experience of on time meeting targets in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have strong customer & supplier management experience.
