Buyer – Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Supply Chain team, at our RLC Langford Lodge facility in Crumlin, Co. Antrim. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to supply chain management and the ability to work within a continuous improvement environment.
Some key duties include:
- Responsible for the sourcing of a range of components, materials, equipment and services
- Results orientated, you will establish and develop supplier relationships whilst continually reducing total acquisition costs
- Manage delivery flow of parts and services and communicate issues to manufacturing cells
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified, CIPS qualified, or relevant hands-on experience.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 3 years hands on experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in the execution of buying, forecasting and replenishment, SIOP, RCCP, MPS, MRP, where customer requirements can change regularly.
- Must have a proven track record of hands-on experience & excellent working knowledge of MRP & ERP systems.
- MS Office skills
Desirable skills, experience, competence:
- Aerospace/Precision Engineering environment experience
- CIPS membership or working towards
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Experience in new product introduction and supplier assessment would also be beneficial.
Hours of Work : Monday to Thursday 0800-1630, Friday 0800-1300
