Gentech are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Banbridge who are expanding on their team of Butchers.
Duties
- Prepare, cut, and package various types of meat according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and preparation methods.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food production.
Skills
- Proficient in kitchen operations with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of butcher skills, including cutting, trimming, and deboning meat.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Experience in food production environments, preferably within a restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
