The Role
This is a pivotal role supporting the Finance, Procurement and Information Manager in delivering high-quality business support services across a large and dynamic department. You’ll lead on financial control, procurement compliance, and performance reporting, ensuring operational excellence and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of revenue and capital budgets
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure compliance with regulations
- Support the development and implementation of business systems and performance frameworks
- Provide expert advice to senior management on finance, procurement, and information systems
- Lead and develop a small team to deliver efficient business support services
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Business Studies) with at least 1 year’s relevant experience, or
- At least 2years’ experience in:
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Developing business systems and performance data
- Managing and motivating staff
- Strong technical knowledge of financial and procurement systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and change management
