Breakfast Chef/Chef

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and dynamic Breakfast Chef / Chef to join thier fast-paced kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have excellent cooking knowledge, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and experience working in a large, dynamic team. A passion for high-quality, well-executed dishes—particularly breakfast items and pre-prepared meals—is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Breakfast Service: Cook and serve high-quality breakfast dishes to order in a fast-paced environment.
  • Batch Cooking: Prepare large volumes of soups, pie fillings, stews, and other pre-packaged dishes while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Afternoon Tea & Fresh Cream Offerings: Assist in the development of afternoon tea selections, ensuring creativity and alignment with current food trends.
  • Menu Innovation: Contribute to the creation of new, simple dishes suited for volume production, with quality at the forefront.
  • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently within a large, dynamic kitchen team, maintaining effective communication and a positive attitude.
  • Time Management: Meet set deadlines and work efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control & Food Safety: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation in all aspects of food preparation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef / Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast service, including managing a fast-paced, high-demand morning service.
  • Ability to batch-cook high-quality dishes for pre-packaged offerings.
  • Experience with afternoon tea and fresh cream products is a plus but not essential.
  • A proactive and creative approach to menu development.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.
