We are inviting applications from motivated and dynamic pharmacists to join the pharmacy team at Causeway Hospital. This is a combined advert for both Band 6 and Band 7 posts, depending on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and suitability.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a modern, patient-focused pharmacy service. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of clinical and operational pharmacy duties, including medicines reconciliation, discharge planning, clinical screening, patient counselling, and dispensary-based services.
Band 6 pharmacists will join a rotational programme gaining valuable experience across dispensary, aseptic services, medicines information, and ward-based clinical pharmacy, with support for professional development and progression. Band 7 pharmacists will be expected to take on a more autonomous role, including supporting service improvements and deputising for senior staff when required.
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI). Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and service improvement are essential.
We are open to part-time and job share arrangements in addition to full-time hours. Participation in weekend, late-night, and on-call rotas may be required in line with service needs.
This post offers a valuable opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a supportive team, making a meaningful difference to patient outcomes across the hospital.
