Assistant Accountant Newry – £28,000-£35,000 (depending on experience)

Cpl NI is delighted to work with a specialist supplier in the building industry to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for development and career growth.

Duties:

*Reconcile daily cash sales and bank accounts

*Manage Accounts Payable and process invoices/payments

*Perform supplier and control account reconciliations

*Support credit control and Accounts Receivable

*Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and management accounts

*Handle VAT Returns, CIS, and Intrastat reporting

*Liaise with logistics on import processes

*Ensure regulatory compliance in sales documentation and filing

Criteria:

*A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.

*Team player with excellent communication skills

*Strong administrative/ customer service experience.

*Experience in credit control

*Strong systems experience, particularly in Excel
