Artemis Human Capital are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support a busy Finance team. Based in Cookstown, this role will contribute to key financial operations across reporting, compliance and process improvement. It offers a valuable opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic business with cross-functional exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage cashflow monitoring, supplier payments, and employee expense processes
- Support VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, and year-end compliance across UK and ROI
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage intercompany transactions
- Provide operational support across finance functions and participate in improvement projects
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge
- Excellent Excel and IT skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) desirable
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive and ethical approach with a focus on continuous improvement
