Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with a client base in Ballymena and are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
This is new role due to growth and is permanent, and full-time office based.
The Assistant Accountant will support the finance department and be responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial reports and analysis within the business.
Daily Duties:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts & annual statutory accounts
- Analytical review of profit and loss account
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat
- EC sales list, statutory payments
- Wage’s processing (weekly)
- End to end payroll processing
- Oversee Sales ledger – invoicing & credit control
- Oversee Bank and SIF reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation of financial forecasts for both profit and loss and cashflow
- Preparation of grant claims
- General accounts and administrative duties required for the smooth running of the finance function
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working at an Assistant Accountant level
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Highly IT Proficient
- Ability to work on own initiative
