Role Overview

As an Assistant Accountant, youll support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely financial information that helps drive key business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, food production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Collate and analyse data and provide reports to production on performance.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow reporting.
• Assist in stock control and cost accounting for raw materials and finished goods.
• Collaborate with production and procurement team to ensure financial accuracy.
• Help prepare for audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

What Were Looking For

• 2 years experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Sage payroll) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
