Role Overview – Experienced Fitter

Due to increased workload, the Product Team is expanding the manufacturing team, creating opportunities for experienced Fitters. This position involves working within a team responsible for the manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of associated ground equipment, with a focus on achieving set customer delivery milestones and providing consistent quality products to support our UK and export customers.

  • Design Authority/Engineers
  • Customer Representatives for Factory Acceptance Testing

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Work to drawings and production specifications to meet product requirements.
  • Produce assemblies and sub-assemblies according to Production Test Specifications and record results.
  • Demonstrate expertise in fitting/assembly techniques to achieve the specified quality standard.
  • Integrate and collaborate effectively with the established team to achieve targets.
  • Adopt the principles of the 5S housekeeping standard.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at eliminating waste and reducing operating costs.

Skills:

Essential:

  • Experienced PC user
  • Manual dexterity
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work within a team

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
  • Capability to work to Manufacturing Instructions and Engineering drawings

Experience:

Essential:

  • No essential experience needed

Desirable:

  • At least 3 years in a production environment or similar
