As an assembly fitter, you will work as part of a team to build both static and mobile recycling machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Follow engineering drawings to build heavy equipment, i.e. conveyors, screens
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments
- Work on own initiative
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Use overhead gantries and forklifts to lift and move equipment safely
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience working in a similar environment
- Previous experience as an assembly fitter
- Experience using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and materials handling
