Pure Engineering Group are recruiting for an apprentice welder to join our Fabrication Department. Our offices and manufacturing departments are based in Carnbane Business Park and we have 3 division within the group, Pure Mechanical, Pure Vent and Pure Fabrication. This position is based in our Fabrication in Carnbane Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm and Friday, 7am – 1pm.
The Role
- Perform extremely tidy and precise TIG welding on various sheet metal, metal components and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders and Laser Welder
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, and debris
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Assemble fabricated metal parts using various welding techniques
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Proven ability and able to pass a welding test
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding principles
