Administrative Support Specialist – Metering Services
Location: Hybrid (Agile home-working available after training)
Contract Type: Full-time | Initial 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £25,654 – £27,557 per annum
VANRATH is proud to be partnering with a highly reputable and forward-thinking organisation to recruit an experienced Administrative Support Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing, dynamic team, supporting critical operations within Metering Services.
About the Role
You’ll join a proactive administration team responsible for a wide range of metering-related activities, including installations, maintenance coordination, handling customer requests, and supporting project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Metering and Support teams

Manage customer and electricity supplier requests (e.g. appointments, tariff changes, meter relocations)

Maintain and update internal databases and spreadsheets

Collaborate with internal departments and external partners

Handle incoming calls and respond to customer enquiries professionally

Assist in the coordination and administration of both small and large-scale projects
Essential Criteria

Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English and Maths, or 2+ years of relevant administrative experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems

Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable Experience

Previous experience in a fast-paced office or administrative environment

Background in customer service or other front-facing roles
