From our factory in Coleraine, we supply our ice cream to branded stores and a growing list of independent and multiple retailers across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Great Britain, including Marks & Spencer, Tesco Stores, Sainsburys and Dunnes Stores. Position: Accounts Technician/Assistant Accountant Maternity cover Location: Head Office, Coleraine Duration: Full-Time, (Maternity Cover, length of contract: 12-15 Months) Role Overview: Have you got strong experience in accounting? Do you want to work for a historic and growing household name in the ice cream industry, stocked in supermarkets across the UK? We might have the role for you! You will oversee our accounts and finance department, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will report directly to the directors and company accountants. Key Responsibilities: Manage all supplier invoices and payments efficiently. Oversee all sales invoicing, credit control, and maintain accurate pricing information. Process all banking transactions accurately and perform regular reconciliations. Assist with weekly payroll duties and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations. Conduct internal financial analysis and provide reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Handle quarterly VAT returns, EC sales, customs declarations for imported goods, and annual business surveys. Support office operations including telephones, filing, processing customer orders, and liaising with transport companies. Essential Criteria: IATI Level 4/ fully qualified or equivalent At least two years of relevant industry experience Proficiency in Sage Line 50, Sage One, Sage Payroll, Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications Strong IT skills and ability to adapt in a growing company.
