Position: Qualified Accounts Technician
Location: Office-based (Belfast)
Salary: £25,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Role Overview:
A busy accountancy practice is seeking a Qualified Accounts Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced practice environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to thrive in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices and sales activity.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Liaise with client suppliers and manage payments.
- Handle accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Maintain fixed asset registers.
- Process payrolls and VAT returns.
- Assist in preparing personal tax returns.
- Support year-end work preparation for various client types.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- Experience with Xero, QBO, and Dext is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
