This role involves the running and maintaining of the sortation machine within the evening sortation operation. Leading a machine team to ensure maximum uptime and volume throughput to achieve best results in line with established KPIs.
Provide leadership and guidance in support of your team.
Responsibilities:
- Effective and efficient operation of the Sorting Machine.
- Preparing mail ready for delivery to Royal Mail in the correct format.
- Accurate reporting of counts and administration of company systems and procedures.
- Responsible for the Performance and Maintenance of the Sortation machine.
- Communicate any problems encountered during the shift to the Sortation Supervisor for immediate resolution and any appropriate actions.
- Complete all checks and activities which ensure a clean and safe working environment is maintained.
- Ensuring subordinates comply with Health and Safety best practice.
- Safeguard of Building and Premises at end of day.
- Reporting of Discrepancies to Management and actioning process improvement

Hours of work: 17:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week.
