Job Title: Senior Application Support Engineer
Location: Aghalee (occasional travel)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Set up: Mon – Fri, 9AM – 5PM (Onsite)
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Application Support Engineer to take ownership of key business applications and ensure they run smoothly across the organisation. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day support, updates, integrations, and process improvements, working closely with key stakeholders across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do
- Own and support core business applications, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
- Manage application updates, releases, and changes, coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain and improve integrations with other systems, ensuring smooth data flow.
- Write and maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and training materials for users.
- Identify under-used features and optimise how applications are adopted across the business.
- Ensure security, data governance, and disaster recovery processes are followed.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in application support or ownership.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL-backed business applications (T-SQL preferred)
- Experience in supporting and integrating business applications (APIs, EDI, flat files) and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong documentation and training experience.
- Analytical, proactive, and adaptable mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ERP or logistics systems.
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
