About the company

HireIQ are delighted to be working with a highly successful company in the Newry area, as they look to add a Senior Finance Manager to their team on this 12 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys the commercial side of accounting, working across multiple divisions and departments to help drive accuracy, efficiency, and value for the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, audits, and ad-hoc finance projects.

• Ensure full compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and regulatory requirements.

• Strengthen financial controls and improve processes and systems

• Provide commercial finance insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Coach, mentor and develop team members, ensuring strong technical and client-management capability.

• Manage resource planning and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

• Build strong client relationships

• Collaborate across business areas and contribute to business development opportunities.

• Play a key role in day-to-day operations, helping meet financial targets and support wider strategic goals.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with practice and/or industry experience.

• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and related standards.

• Solid understanding of tax and financial reporting requirements.

• Collaborative, with excellent relationship-building abilities.

• Growth mindset and commitment to ongoing development.

• Confident using technology and cloud accounting tools
