Role:Quantity Surveyor
Location: Northern Ireland (with travel as required)
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £ Negotiable depending on experience

The Role:
As the commercial lead, you will work closely with the Operational team and take responsibility for full lifecycle commercial management, from tender stage through to final account. The role includes UK travel.
Key responsibilities include:
Take off quantities and assist in tender preparation
Procure and appoint subcontractors and labour-only teams
Prepare and manage material procurement schedules
Oversee project measures and report variances
Prepare and settle interim claims and valuations
Produce bills of quantities and tender documentation
Identify, measure and agree variations
Carry out cost investigations and value engineering
Submit weekly financial reports to client teams
Prepare monthly cost/value reconciliations
Monitor cash collection and project cashflow
Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously
Provide commercial advice to senior management
Measure and agree project final accounts
Ensure all commercial records and documentation are accurate and up to date
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
Essential:
Recent and relevant Quantity Surveying experience within construction or fit-out
Experience in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability
Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Experience managing contractual issues on JCT contracts
Strong knowledge of construction techniques and contract documentation
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible, proactive and able to adapt to changing demands
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
Degree or third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Experience preparing PQQs, bids and tender submissions
Experience using e-tendering systems
