Salary: £32,000 – £38,000

Are you a qualified Health and Safety professional with previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and eager to progress a career in a stable industry as part of a friendly, family-run business?

As a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in promoting a safe working environment as part of the company’s commitment to looking after it’s staff. You’ll be responsible for implementing H&S policies and procedures while ensuring regulations are adhered to and obligations are met.

You’ll be responsible for:

Working with company leadership to implement H&S policies and procedures
Ensuring standards, processes and regulations are adhered to
Actively promoting a safe working culture, engaging with Production staff to provide training on best practice where appropriate
Carrying out inspections, investigations, audits and Risk Assessments
Reporting back to management and providing recommendations for any improvements

Ideal candidates will have:

A NEBOSH General certificate
2+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role
Preferably a background in Food Manufacturing or another transferrable industry
