Hatched Recruitment is looking for General Operatives to join Belfast City Council on temporary contracts. If you enjoy practical, outdoor work and contributing to your local community, these roles are perfect for you.

Locations:

• Garron Crescent, Belfast – 2 roles

• Stockmans Lane, Belfast – 1 role

Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 7.30am-3.30pm

• Friday: 7.30am-3.00pm

• 37 hours per week

What You’ll Do:

• Collect and manage domestic and commercial waste, supporting street cleansing operations

• Maintain parks, open spaces, and grounds (grass cutting, hedge trimming, gardening, and basic landscaping)

• Operate light machinery and tools safely

• Ensure public areas are clean, safe, and maintained to a high standard

• Assist with seasonal duties such as snow clearance, gritting, and leaf collection

What We’re Looking For:

• Eligible to work in the UK

• At least 1 year of experience dealing with the public

• Awareness of health & safety, PPE, and manual handling

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Reliability and a strong work ethic
