ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Financial Director (Group Accounting) this role will be based in Coleraine and will oversee a small team responsible for a range of transactional functions.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure compliance with Financial Control Systems and Procedures Manuals.
  • Manage the AP/AR functions in Armstrong Medical Limited including credit control.
  • Line management of 2 direct reports in transactional team
  • Prepare UK & ROI VAT and Intrastat returns and submit on a timely basis.
  • Complete all statistical returns.
  • Accrual accounting and journal management.
  • Prepare monthly Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare end to end trial balances
  • Preparation of supporting schedules for Legal Entity financial statements​
  • Preparation of audit files for the external auditors and liaising with the auditors for the annual audit
  • Preparation of government grant claims and when required, facilitation of audit of such claims.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Qualified or Part Qualified accountant
  • Strong interpersonal skill
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills are required.
  • Diligent and able to work efficiently with attention to detail, within required timescales.

Desirable

  • Sage X3/Power BI
  • Microsoft Navision
  • People management
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing organisation

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • There will be a requirement to travel to other group sites from time to time.
