The BHSCT NIPHL need to urgently recruit an Agency Band 3 Assistant Technical Officer position. The NIPHL is based in the Corry Building on the Belfast City Hospital Site and the hours of work are 8.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday.
Criteria
- 2 GCSE’s (Grades A-C /9-4) in Maths and English or equivalent PLUS 2 years relevant laboratory experience.
- OR 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C/ 9-4) including Maths and English or equivalent PLUS 1 years relevant laboratory experience.
- OR NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in a science related subject.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working in a Food or Water Laboratory.
- Experience in calculation and preparation of dilutions.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety.
- Experience of working within a quality system.
- Experience of using a LIMS. Experience of record keeping.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Knowledge of Belfast Trust Policies and Procedures
