What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer (CMM Programmer/Operator) will be responsible for programming our CMM to inspect and verify component manufacture conformance.
- Programming and operating our CMM
- Inspecting parts against drawings and specifications.
- Following inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections on a wide variety of components.
- Preparing for and conducting the first article inspection of parts.
- Maintaining necessary inspection logs and writing inspection reports.
- Interpreting inspection findings and determining adequacy of corrective actions.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience (4+ years) in a high-precision CNC machining environment (3 and 5-axis)
- Minimum 2 years in a Quality roles within a manufacturing environment
- Experience programming and operating a CMM (preferably familiar with PC-DMIS software)
- Strong drawing interpretation and metrology skills
- Competent in conducting First Article Inspections
