About the Role
We’re recruiting an experienced Mechanic to join the team at McKinney Motors in Dungannon. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and assembling a range of vehicles and machinery, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to specifications
- Inspect vehicles, engines, and transmissions, carrying out diagnostic tests to identify and resolve faults
- Conduct repairs efficiently, ensuring maximum reliability and safety
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
- Clean, lubricate, and replenish fluids in engines and mechanical components
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems when required
- Provide advice and guidance on correct maintenance and preventative measures
- Maintain accurate work logs and report any recurring or major issues
- Undertake additional duties as required, such as minor bodywork or painting
About You
- Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally within an automotive or machinery environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must provide own tools
