Company Culture
Humble Beginnings
1951: Bobby Lynas launched his very first venture, a quaint fishmonger’s shop situated on Brook Street in Coleraine. It was the exceptional fishcakes made by Mrs. Lynas that truly captivated the locals, with sales reaching a remarkable figure of over 1,200 in just one day!
Lynas Foodservice Is Born
1999: This year marked a pivotal transformation for the company as it rebranded itself to Lynas Foodservice. The firm ventured beyond its established realm of frozen products by becoming a member of the Caterforce buying consortium, which significantly contributed to a turnover surge, hitting the £15 million mark.
Causeway Prime
2004: Continuing the family tradition, Andrew Lynas, Norman’s son, joined the family business. It was during this period that the company debuted its high-end butchery line, named Causeway Prime, ushering in a new era for their operations.
Dublin Expansion
2008: Lynas Foodservice embarked on an ambitious expansion into Dublin, broadening its operational footprint. This strategic move signified a key development in the company’s enduring endeavour to serve a broader spectrum of clientele across the country.
This journey from a small fishmonger in Coleraine to a nationally recognised name in the foodservice industry mirrors the incredible evolution and ambitious spirit of Lynas Foodservice, a testament to its dedication to quality, innovation, and customer service.
