As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Housekeeping Manager to ensure the smooth daily running of the department. You will lead by example, helping to set and maintain standards of excellence while motivating and supporting the team to deliver consistently high-quality results.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the Housekeeping Department.

Responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • Assign duties accordingly to members of staff

Develop minimum standards for the team member and minimum standards by which to measure performance
Ensure that all daily cleans and room changeovers are completed within the set time period, to the highest standards
Take feedback regarding customers complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively
Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties in order to prevent any unfilled gap
Responsible to maintaining highest levels of cleanliness across all communal areas, including the spa trail
Responsible for ensuring the laundry stock is maintained to an adequate level
Ensure all linen and towels are sent out within the appropriate time frame
Ensure the laundry received is of the appropriate quality, record any items that are marked, dirty or damaged and ensure these are reported and not charged
Schedule and oversee the collection and laundering of all Finn Lough inventory from the Spa and rooms, including robes, tea towels etc.
Maintain appropriate stock of all supplies for the housekeeping department
Ensure efficient use of departmental resources
Report any breakages of equipment or damage to stock
Report breakfast, damages or missing items from rooms
Understanding average usage of resources so forecasting can be carried out and any inefficiencies identified
Direct all housekeeping activities
Maintain good relationship and open lines of communication with suppliers
Maintain good relationship and work with managers across all departments Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Requirements:

  • 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a resort or hotel

supervisory or management experience (preferred)
availability to work on weekends (usually Tuesday and Wednesdays are days off)
ability to relocate or commute
buggy driving experience (preferred)
drivers license
