Location: Cookstown, Co. Tyrone
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum

About the Firm
Our client is a well-established and highly respected law firm based in Cookstown, County Tyrone. The firm is known for its professionalism, client care, and long-standing reputation for excellence across a wide range of legal services. Due to continued growth, the firm is now seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its expanding litigation team.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor to begin their career in a supportive, busy, and well-regarded firm. You will gain hands-on experience managing and assisting with a broad range of civil litigation cases, including:

• Personal injury claims – road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, and public liabilit

• Medical negligence and related clinical claims

• General civil litigation

There will also be the opportunity to gain exposure to criminal defence litigation for candidates with an interest in developing experience in this area.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior solicitors with case management from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Preparing legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
• Attending consultations, negotiations, and court hearings as appropriate
• Conducting research and providing clear, practical legal advice to clients
• Maintaining high professional and ethical standards in all aspects of work

The Person

• Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland (newly qualified or up to 1 year PQE)
• A genuine interest in civil litigation and personal injury law
• Strong attention to detail with good drafting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Eager to learn, with a proactive and professional approach
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
