Job Summary

We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer, who are seeking a Sales Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a confident phone manner to play a key role in supporting both sales and production operations.

The Role:

  • Answer incoming calls, take customer requirements, and direct to the appropriate contact
  • Provide quotations and pricing over the phone and email
  • Keep customers informed on the progress of their orders
  • Check stock availability and provide lead time updates

Purchasing Administration

  • Monitor and chase overdue supplier orders, or source alternative parts as needed
  • Update purchase orders with confirmed delivery dates
  • Reorder stock and manage ad hoc purchases
  • Keep customers informed about potential delays or issues with their orders

You will work closely with the Production Manager and Sales Team to ensure the smooth flow of orders and communication between customers and suppliers.

The Person – What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in sales administration, purchasing, or a similar administration role
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Experience with Sage desirable but not essential (training provided)
