Randstad have an opportunity available for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work alongside the existing team at Belfast Metropolitan College.
The post holder will provide officer support to the Organisational Quality Assurance Coordinator. This will involve coordinating internal curriculum reviews, working with external standards bodies, managing awarding body relationships, and preparing detailed reports to drive continuous quality improvement across the college.

Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Level 6 qualification (e.g. a degree) with at least one year of relevant post-qualification experience in providing quality assurance advice to management. OR Hold a Level 5 qualification (e.g. HND) with at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience in providing quality assurance advice to management.
- Experience of coordinating internal curriculum reviews, monitoring activities, and preparing and presenting reports.
- Experience of presenting written evaluations, making recommendations, and monitoring action plans.
- Experience of working with ETI and/or other external standards bodies to deliver against defined quality and assessment frameworks and KPIs.
- Experience of working with awarding bodies and/or partner institutions (e.g. a university) and a sound understanding of assessment and internal quality assurance processes, preferably with multiple bodies such as City & Guilds, Pearson BTEC, OCR or OCN.
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in all main packages, to include Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Candidates will need to undergo enhanced vetting including an Access NI check.
Responsibilities
- To coordinate internal curriculum reviews and monitoring activities, ensuring quality standards are being achieved.
- To prepare and present detailed reports and written evaluations, making recommendations for improvement.
- To develop, implement, and monitor action plans to ensure recommendations are addressed effectively.
- To work with the ETI and other external standards bodies, ensuring the College meets defined quality frameworks.
- To maintain effective relationships with all awarding and validating bodies (e.g., City & Guilds, Pearson), monitoring requirements and communicating changes to curriculum teams.
- To assist the Organisational Quality Assurance Coordinator in preparing the College for independent audits and inspections.
- To support the validation and re-validation of learning programmes across the college.
- To provide administrative support for all College inspections, including the preparation of agendas and the collation of college documents.
- To support the development and evaluation of the annual Whole College Quality Improvement Plan.
