What Youll Do
As a Veterinary Surgeon, youll work closely with farm managers, field staff, and third-party producers to ensure the highest standard of animal health and welfare. Your role will include:
- Driving both short- and long-term veterinary plans across farms.
- Advising on animal welfare law and implementing best practices.
- Managing health programs and carrying out post-mortems.
- Advising on nutrition and dietary recommendations.
- Analysing production trends and making informed recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with Red Tractor standards and company policies.
Youll play a key role in developing and rolling out health plans that directly contribute to the success of our business.

What Were Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified MRCVS veterinary surgeon (experienced or recent graduate).
- Experience with large livestock and post-mortems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to adapt in a changing environment.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with pigs and monogastric production systems.
- Knowledge of VMD requirements and Red Tractor certification standards.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced veterinary or farm environment.
