Were working with a forward-thinking, award-winning food manufacturer in Northern Ireland, who are currently searching for a Hygiene Manager. The right candidate will be responsible for all facilities and hygiene requirements on site and will ensure all machinery and equipment is in good working order, whilst making sure the factory is always left in a safe and hazard-free environment.
The salary for this position will be £45,000-£55,000 per annum plus benefits. The shift pattern for this position will be 5 days from 5.00 pm to 2.00 am and then 4 days from 5.00 pm to 5.00 am, so flexibility will be required for this role.
As the Hygiene Manager you will:
- Conduct full facilities checks in accordance with daily, weekly and monthly schedules, to include: all departmental equipment and machinery, and other areas under request.
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels are in place to cover all absence and holiday dates, liaise with Quality Manager to get sign off on new roles.
- Report issues to the Head of Technical that may result in compromised food safety or quality.
- Co-ordinate all hygiene and cleaning activities ensuring standards are achieved and maintained.
- Supervise the team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all the areas of the site.
- Ensure sufficient stock levels of Chemicals.
- Follow all hygiene, food safety, quality, health & safety procedures and the company terms and conditions.
- Ensure the site is Audit Ready at all times.
We are looking for a Hygiene Manager with the following:
- Have a strong understanding of HACCP.
- Knowledge of a chilled environment
- Ability to make product to specification, dexterity and speed of work.
- Punctual.
