Purpose of Post:
Wrightbus, a fast-moving company with considerable growth over the past year, is seeking a suitable candidate for the exciting new role of Regulations Specialist in its ever-expanding Homologation Department. The successful candidate will serve as the single point of contact for all regulatory enquiries, with responsibilities including staying up to date with regulations, interpreting them, and liaising with type approval authorities.
Key Tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Act as the single point of contact for all regulatory enquiries related to Wrightbus product approval.
- Serve as the department’s contact for tender requirements.
- Read and interpret vehicle regulations applicable to all company products.
- Provide impact statements for new and amended regulations.
- Source and obtain access to regulations in countries where the company seeks business.
- Liaise with Type Approval authorities for clarification on interpretations.
- Conduct regular assessments and interpretation of existing and pending regulations.
- Identify future regulatory requirements to support long-term product design and development.
- Liaise with internal and external departments to resolve regulation-related issues.
- Liaise with internal and external departments to ensure vehicles demonstrate compliance at first attempt.
- Undertake and provide relevant training for effective operation of the post.
- Perform any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 3 qualification in engineering discipline
- Strong quality/compliance background
- Experience in understanding/interpreting regulations/legislation
- Good organisational skills.
- Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written are essential.
- Competent in MS Office Applications, including MS Word and Excel.
- Theoretical knowledge of good engineering disciplines
- Extremely organised, able to compile and manage reports for management review.
- Ability to effectively summarize complex documents
