About the Role
We’re seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential to the smooth running of operations, ensuring bakery ingredients are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Forklift Trucks (Counterbalance/Reach) and other MHE safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders.
- Store goods in designated locations using barcode scanners or manual records.
- Conduct stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety standards.
- Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and checking goods in/out.
- Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock accuracy.
- Follow all food safety, allergen control, and hygiene procedures.

- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices promptly.
- Use PPE and equipment correctly.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach – RTITB or equivalent)
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
Desirable:
- Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
- Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners
