Quality Manager
- Annual Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 (With scope for an exceptional candidate)

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to oversee and ensure full compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards at an established Engineering/Manufacturer. This pivotal leadership role involves managing quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, product integrity, and internal systems related to ISO standards and environmental legislation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- ISO Compliance & Environmental Standards:
- Ensure and maintain compliance with ISO standards across both companies.
- Maintain and improve systems to meet environmental legislation applicable in Northern Ireland.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Product Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet the defined quality guarantees offered to customers.
- Oversee and monitor quality performance metrics across departments.
- Continuously improve quality control systems and processes.
- Chemical & Process Control:
- Manage the chemical compositions used in all departments to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and chemical tracking systems.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with regulations.
- Manage compliance with COSHH regulations, including maintaining accurate records, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment.
- Non-Conformance Management:
- Investigate and lead the resolution of all non-conformances related to quality and environmental processes.
- Implement and monitor corrective and preventative actions.
- Report on root causes and actions taken to senior management.
- Staff Supervision:
- Line-manage the Customer Coordination Administrator responsible for general administration and updating the production schedule for the business.
- Provide guidance, performance feedback, and support training and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a quality management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Qualifications or experience in chemistry, metallurgy, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and environmental legislation in Northern Ireland.
- Experience managing quality systems and handling non-conformances.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Desirable: Experience with powder coating, chemical processing, or aluminium finishing industries. Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
