Biomedical Associate practitioner required to work in the Cellular Pathology, RVH Belfast.
The hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is £15.33 per hour. This is a temporary role for approx. 6 months with a possibility of extension. You will be responsible for carrying out procedures, research projects, supervising and training junior staff.
Main Duties are:
- Assist in data processing within the laboratories
- Sort and distribute laboratory reports
- Provide personal and direct supervision for trainees
- Prepare appropriate solutions/reagents where necessary
- Remove and dispose of laboratory waste according to departmental procedures
- Be aware of and adhere to all current Health and Safety regulations
What We Need From You
- 4 GCSEs (Grade a-c) to include Maths and English
- BTEC National Diploma in an Applied Science
- Diploma (or equivalent) in relevant discipline AND have at least 1 years laboratory experience
- Must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist
