What are we looking for?
We are looking for an excellent / experienced Food and Beverage Team Leader who will be responsible for supporting the management of all aspects of the Bar, Restaurant and main Lobby area of the City Hotel.
You will be responsible for assisting in the running of all aspects of the Bar/Lobby/Restaurant area depending on your shift. You will maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction whilst creating a working environment that supports organisational values.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and have an interest in coaching & developing our team of Food & Beverage Assistants .
To be successful, you must have experience in the following Key responsibilities below:
- Leading service at the City Hotel Food & Beverage outlets
- Be present to meet and greet customers checking requirements and passing on relevant information (e.g. fire evacuation procedure etc.).
- Checking and monitoring that all beverages and food are prepared and served according to company standards and within statutory regulations – maintaining customer satisfaction at all times.
- Having full product knowledge of the facilities offered at the hotel.
- Training staff on promotions, including food and drink
- Positively dealing with and learning from customer complaints and comments.
- To support with initiative and commitment to the overall objectives of the business in terms of revenue, costs and teamwork.
- Good all round food service & bar skills. Being a natural people person who can build rapport with guests and staff. You will supervise staff on your shifts to ensure a consistently high service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- You will be confident with people face-to-face, be able to sell and think on your feet
- You should enjoy the physical nature of the job, enjoy being part of a team, have a flair for customer service and take satisfaction in a job well done.
- You should have relevant previous experience
- Being involved in preparing, checking, and monitoring departmental forecasts and rotas to ensure they are in line with set budgets and meet the service and business needs
- Supporting the control of costs through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, par stock levels, purchase order systems, and minimising wastage, as per Company standards
- Ensure assistance in monthly stocktakes and action any discrepancies in line with Company standards, maintaining operational integrity.
