We are currently hiring Steel Fabricators for anindustry leader in UKs Building Services sector. This opportunity has the potential for successful candidates to develop and retain further skills within numerous welding, fabrication, and preparation disciplines.
Hours:Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours)
Rate:Competitive rates -Dependent on experience with OT available at 1.5
Job Summary
To weld a range of pipe configurations while applying various methods to produce high quality welds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various diameters, typically carbon steel and stainless steel (65mm – 500mm).
- Read and understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.
- Complete Cross Training in various welding activities.
- Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
- Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
- General workshop duties.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience working as a fabricator welder in Pipe Fabrication and Welding.
- The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
- Able to use Shop floor hand tools.
- Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings.
Desirable:
- Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
- Experience fabricating a wide range of pipe arrangements with TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
