Group Payroll Specialist

Inclusion IQ are delighted to be support our long term client, as they seek to appoint an experienced Group Payroll Specialist to join their growing team, as they continue to expand their operations across NI, ROI and Europe. This role is central to their operations and the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll for over 300 employees across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The ideal candidate will be a payroll expert with deep, current knowledge of legislative requirements in both jurisdictions. You will be a meticulous professional with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and effective communication, ensuring our team is paid correctly and on time.
The Role

Manage all aspects of payroll processing for employees in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Maintain strict adherence to all statutory and legislative requirements for tax, social security, and other payroll-related regulations in both jurisdictions.

Oversee the timely and accurate processing of all payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and deductions.

Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related employee queries, providing clear and confidential support.

Work closely with the HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.

Prepare and submit statutory reports, as well as generate internal management reports.

Proactively monitor and implement changes to payroll legislation to ensure continuous compliance.
The Person
To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience;

Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Senior Payroll Specialist, with a track record of managing a large employee base (300+).

In-depth, practical knowledge of payroll legislation for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

High level of proficiency with payroll software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

A high degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to lead and manage junior team members, and support with onboarding and training
